Sizing and Measurements

royalebodyjewelry 2_edited_edited.png

To help you understand our product sizing accurately, we use both the Metric and Imperial measurement system.

Metric is in millimeters (mm) and Imperial is in gauges (ga) and inches (").

For your convenience, we provide all our piercing specifications in both systems throughout our product catalog online and printed. Please refer to our conversion chart shown for easy reference.

Piercing Sizes

Piercings are measured by thickness, diameter, and width.  Piercing Rings are measured by the internal diameter.  Septum Clickers are measured by the pin thickness and the internal height.  Straight and curved barbells are measured by the linear width between ball to ball.

  1. Wire size is indicated in ga or mm (please refer to red markings)
It refers to the diameter size of the stem (thickness of the wire). We indicate this size in gauge and millimeter. For example; 14GA (1.6MM)

  2. Size (length) is indicated only in mm (please refer to green markings)

  3. Balls or spikes and all other attachments are indicated only in mm (please refer to blue markings
